Looking for something different? Want to build confidence, learn new skills, make friends and take on exciting challenges? Our Royal Navy Combined Cadet Force is open to students in Years 9–13.
The only state school in Cumbria to offer an Armed Forces Cadet Unit! We meet every Wednesday after school and take part in a fantastic range of activities and events throughout the year, including:
- Summer sailing at Bassenthwaite Yacht Club
- Summer camp and outdoor adventures
- Team-building Outward Bound day
- Leading our Remembrance Service
- Christmas visits to local care homes
- Great Tommy Sleep Out
- And much more!
As a cadet, you’ll have opportunities to develop leadership, teamwork, resilience and confidence, while experiencing activities and challenges you might not get anywhere else. Years 9–13 — come along, get involved and see what you can achieve!
