INDUSTRY
Preparing students for successful careers is at the heart of everything we do. We believe young people learn best when they understand how their education connects to the world of work. That’s why industry engagement forms a key part of every student’s journey at Energy Coast UTC.
From Year 10 through to Sixth Form, students work closely with employer partners, participate in industry projects and gain insight into the skills needed for future careers. These experiences help students develop confidence, professionalism and an understanding of workplace expectations.
Employer Projects
Students work on real challenges set by local and national employers, developing problem-solving, teamwork and communication skills whilst gaining valuable insight into industry.
Work Experience & Industry Placements
Students have opportunities to gain meaningful workplace experience, helping them explore career pathways and apply their learning in real environments.
Employability Skills
Through our Back to Basics Employability Programme and Skills Builder framework, students develop essential skills including leadership, communication, planning, creativity, problem solving and teamwork.
Careers Guidance
Students receive personalised support with progression planning, applications, CV development, personal statements, apprenticeships, university applications and interview preparation.
Employer Partnerships
Our extensive employer network provides students with access to industry professionals, workplace visits, mentoring opportunities and career insights that help shape their future ambitions.
