Future Plans for Energy Coast UTC

Energy Coast UTC continues to go from strength to strength, supported by significant investment from our industry partners. We have secured a £500,000 investment from Benny Walker to develop a new Civil Engineering classroom, providing students with access to state-of-the-art facilities that reflect modern industry practice. In addition, Morgan Sindall continues to invest £50,000 annually, enabling us to provide students with a wide range of enriching experiences and opportunities that extend beyond the classroom.

Our commitment to developing globally aware young people remains a key priority. We will continue our successful international visits to Kenya and New York, while also expanding opportunities through the Erasmus scheme, having secured places for students to participate in programmes in Portugal and Cyprus.

Looking ahead, we are excited to broaden our curriculum offer by introducing additional health-related subjects, reflecting the growing employment opportunities within the healthcare sector. We also aim to further strengthen our technical education pathways by launching apprenticeship provision in 2027, creating even more opportunities for young people to progress into high-quality careers and support local and regional workforce needs.

Together, these developments will ensure that Energy Coast UTC remains at the forefront of technical education, providing exceptional opportunities, industry engagement, and career pathways for all students.
